I mean...wait, no I never played that game. I swear. | I played D&D in high school. I didn't have much fun and just stuck to my video games. Ironically one of the hottest girls I ever dated got me back into it with her friends a couple years ago. My human barbarian with his magical boots of jumping kicked arse! The group split when me and her broke up. Apparently the DM was only there because he had a crush on my girl. D&D drama lol |

D&D drama lol | I had actually gone through several phases with D&D, everything from the awkward nerdy high school days, to playing it in college with the band I was in and friends after gigs all toked up and whatnot lol.
To be brutally honest, I used to love that game - it was all in the brain/imagination and such. If I only had more free time on my hands I'd love to play again.

If I only had more free time on my hands I'd love to play again. | I may not have liked D&D in high school but I had great fun with Marvel rpg. I had a robot that could run really fast and manipulate probability. My problem with 2nd edition D&D was the characters were so generic. A 1st level mage was basically the same as every other 1st level mage. What I enjoyed about marvel was making truly unique characters. 3rd edition D&D was a vast improvement in this regard. I had alot of fun playing and miss it. In my mind pen and paper rpg's are superior to MMORPGs like WoW simply because of the social aspect. But as you mentioned my free time is too limited. |

help an old guy out. | Yeah, it's a parody of "Like a G6" (thanks, Google!). No irony that I could detect.

It's amazing though back when I was in HS and playing with a group of friends, we got really creative with it to the point where we had our own campaign setting, complete with kingdoms, territories, histories... that actually took a lot of brain work and creativity. Its almost a shame that we all went our own separate ways and just let it go to waste. I wish I still had all of that stuff now
