Do any of you have this medical condition?

It is called: Cluster-headache.

Kinda a misnomer because it is not a headache like a migraine. Not even close.
The pain is so intense, it is often called "suicide headache"

It is caused when the blood vessels swell 20 times their normal size and put pressure on the Trigeminal nerve.

It can happen to anyone anytime.
If you have it and don't know what to do, don't consider putting a slug in your brain.
I have information that can keep it under control.

Cheers, Dave

I don't doubt you have the best of intentions, but be real careful about giving medical advice over the internet. You may trust all of us, but this thread could come up in a search by some random person.

I get headaches for no reason at all. they usually start out with a little pressure behind the eyes and then move to the side of my head, right above the ear. I have no idea what it's from, lack of caffeine, sleep, etc., but I know it can be debilitating at times, especially when I'm playing music. No matter what I do or take for it, it still lingers until it's over. I'll take 3 Excedrine migraines, an 800 mg. Ibuprofin, and a vicadin at the same time but it still runs it's course. It only happens on the weekends mostly.

Mike:
No, absolutely not!!!

I have no business giving medical advise.
Anyone taking medical advise from a sheetmetal worker needs their head examined...LOL, bad pun.

No, I am associated with a group of CH sufferers who can direct you to proper medical advise from the very few Docs worldwide who understand this problem.
They can lend support and even help you build your own oxygen rig, find a good Neuro., understand the problem better and deal with your insurance company effectively.

They saved my life and could help someone who gets CH.
Cheers, Dave

Capn, it has some of the traits of CH. Again, I do not give medical advise. However I can send you a link where you can read & learn.

Cheers, Dave

You betcha Mike.
When I first got it, the pain was so intense I almost lost what little mind I had left.
Joking aside, I considered the possibility that I would have to end things if I couldn't find help.

I was really scared, and I dont scare easily.
I found this group and they literally saved my life.

I have never met a better group of people on the web.

I am lucky these days. No attack for almost a year.
Doesnt mean it wont come back, but it is a humbling experience and makes me feel very fortunate that it is gone for now.
Oh yeah, this is our site: http://www.clusterheadaches.com/
Not a bunch of crybabies, read the first page. Everything said is true in regards to the pain.
Mine feels like you took a pair of duckbill visegrips and was breaking my upper jaw out of my head.
I am username: Groov
