-of The Blue Brothers, specifically. My rhythm is totally thrown off. Thought you'd want to know.

Edit: It seems that most of the songs are different versions(from the original movie)as well. Bleah.

I've seen Blues Brothers hundreds of times. So many times that I don't pay close attention when it's on, but like it in the background. I had no idea there was an extended version. I was completely confused when new scenes snuck in that I swear I had never seen before. I started wondering if I'd ever really WATCHED the movie ( or if I'm just losing it). Thanks for confirming I'm not completely nuts...

Don't put words in my mouth.
Seriously, I will NEVER watch the extended version again- my son stuck it in, I'm guessing he was thinking 'more is better'

Can't be worse than the sequal.

I've never heard of it either, though.... I don't think I've ever seen any extra parts...

Dunno bout the sequel- I've inadvertantly seen a clip or two & will make every effort to see NO MORE. A kid? Wrong, just wrong. The very idea should have died w/Belushi, RIP.

I LOVE the sequel! It's even more senseless than the original, and has more completely meaningless cop car crashes.

And the music is excellent. Fun all around.

Nine times out of ten, the restoration of footage to an "extended version" proves that they made the right decision leaving the footage out the first time. There are occasional exceptions.

The only exception that I can think of are the LOTR movies. The extended versions are way better.
