When you are at a four-way stop and have arrived at the same time as a cross-traffic vehicle, do you let them go first?

I usually will let them go first. Too many times incompetent morons have almost hit me when I've proceeded to go first.

If they are on the right, yes. If they are on the left, no. That's what the law states.

Most of the time, but if traffic is backed up pretty bad on their side I let them go first.

I find that most people at a four way have no clue what to do, and I don't have any time to sit there and let them figure it out while they all wave each other on. While y'all figure it out....I'm outta here. After I come to a stop, off I go.

Sometimes I'm a waver, usually I can tell what the other person is going to do, most often since they don't stop at all... I usually let 'em go at that point

I'm a generous guy. Everyone involved gets their turn before I go, no matter what order we show up in. If I have to direct traffic with hand motions, so be it. I find some people prefer to be told what to do and when to do it.

In that moment, you have to measure up the grit and determination of your fellow drivers. You must master the ability to see the twitch in the soccer moms eye that just screams "I have 5 minutes to get Timmy to practice and I'm all wacked out on a grande hazelnut latte." Do you want to trifle with that? No my friend, you do not.

She will tear through the intersection and flip you the bird regardless of the 3 impressionable children in the back. You see, she is important. Her husband is a pilot or a podiatrist. You must bow down to her amazing ability to marry well.

Just wave and know your role.

Albeit, four way stops scare me, we really don't have them in Jersey.
