Do you eat the skin of Chickens ? I really try to stay away from chicken skin but some of the mexican food I have consumed recently had chicken skin in addition to chicken flesh.

Breaded and fried, or baked is the best way to eat chicken skin.

Sometimes. When I bake it at home, I buy skinless breasts. When I'm having fried chicken (usually at Popeye's), I take most of the skin off, except where the breading is pretty thin. But when it comes to chicken wings, I'm fine with eating the skin.

I had a steady girlfriend that said she'd never have any Popeye's at the house because I would eat the skin and leave the rest (midnight snacks). I told her I was looking out for her health. She didn't buy it.

The skin is good, as long as it's not too soft.

Here in Japan, they sell Yakitori (chicken on a stick), some varieties are nothing but skin.

Not only that, but it's presumably loaded with all the crap that the chicken sat in during its lifetime.

But y'know what? Who gives a schidt? Chicken skin tastes good. /thread

What do they do with the skin from the boneless/skinless chicken parts they sell at the grocery store?? They should sell tubs of skin like they do livers. Can you imagine frying up a pound of bacon, and then frying up a pound of chicken skin in the residual grease?? That'd be great on a kaiser roll with some mayo and mustard!!
