Do you pay for received phone calls on cell phone?

Sign in to disble this ad
I am out of town for a month or so and I have free of charge calls to 10 numbers, even if long distance. My girlfriend's cell phone number is in there and was wondering if I call her from my cellphone to hers (different area code numbers) is it going to cost her? She is on a plan and has free local calls after 9 pm. Say I would call her, is it free of charge for her? Or is it free only after 9 pm?

thanks.

Sounds like you're in the clear, no matter what time it is.

Be careful about this, maybe it's different in Ontario, but probably not :

When they say those 10 numbers are free, even long distance, that's true. If they approved the number, then that's it. However, that does not mean that YOU can be "long distance", meaning that if you are away from your local zone, you will be charged roaming fees for every calls, even your 10 "free" numbers.

Just check with them to see if you're still considered local where you are.

Uhmm... I am local where I currently reside, the phone number is from here. But I recall doing phone calls over there to my 10 numbers who also lived there. I guess I will have to take a look at my bill tomorrow. I'm with Bell but their website keeps crashing.
