During.
The heat and steam from showering soften my whiskers beautifully. Best shaves ever.
Over 20 years I've learned to shave by feel, though they make "in shower" mirrors that don't fog up.

Just before. Then I can be lazy and don't have to deal with wiping away any extra shaving cream, as it comes off in the shower

Yep, after for me too. A hot shower will help soften the hairs and loosen the follicles so they're easier to cut and don't pull so much when you shave. I often will get out of the shower and start shaving right away with no shaving cream.

During or after.

Depends on how much beard I got.

If I wanna be cleanly shaved, in the shower. If I'm just shaving around the beard, after.

What is wrong with you people?

Shaving always comes after showering (or during), because your pores get steamed open as you shower, leaving your face ready for a close shave.

I never associated the two. I've no hygienic rituals and simply clean my self as needed.

Always after, although a fog free mirror is rather tempting.

Rub the mirror with a bit of shaving cream, keeps the mirror from foging up. I shave during my shower if im using my manual and after when using my electric

before, but I only shave about once ore twice a week. My wife likes me scruffy. I get five o'clock shadow a noon so it's an easy request to accommodate.
