Doctors and Lottery

Sign in to disble this ad
I work in a convenient store / gas attendant. Yesterday a doctor came by to check his ticket, and bought another 20$ one. At first I didn't mind it, but with my much demanding job, I was bored and the thought of it came to my mind. If you win the lottery, most likely you are going to quit your job. Doctors do make a lot of money (well here in Canada anyways) so I don't think money would be an issue for him. (Sure you always want more.. but you know what I mean) So assuming he wants to win and then quits his job. That means, well the guy doesn't like his job. And you guys know as well as I do, if not more, when you hate your job the "aah I'll do it later" sentence comes a lot. Assuming a doctor does not like his job...

hmm.. maybe I just got to much time at a work..

I think being able to sit home with a million dollars in your pocket without having to work is a dream life for a lot of people no matter what they do for work currently. I really like my job, but I wouldn't complain if I won the lotto tomorrow and didn't have to work anymore.

I'm not so sure I catch your drift on the "aah I'll do it later" sentence. Do what later?

Maybe he's just a con artist I don't know too many doctors or professionals in general who buy lottery tickets on a regular basis.

Also, your doctors over there don't make that much money. A lot of them come over here for that reason.

You know, remove a spleen, fiddle with your innards, that kind of thing.

its a good point except playing the lottery doesn't mean you don't like your job, and just because you don't like your job doesn't mean you don't work hard at it...the rest of it is good though...

Wanting to win the lottery doesn't mean that you don't like your job, or that you have to quit.

Which would be better... having a job you like, or having a job you like plus $68 million in the bank?

I'll give you some time to think about it...
