Dexter. It's Showtime, not HBO, but soooo worth it. Start from season 1. Oz is a great HBO series. I still get a kick out of seeing Oz regulars on other shows like Law & Order or CSI.

Still deciding whether or not to invest time into either Flight of the Conchords or Eastbound and Down. FotC is quirky and the song "The Humans Are Dead" still crack me up. Not sure if I want to spend time getting to know Kenny ******* Powers in EB&D.

Although I don't have HBO, (or cable for that matter), I enjoyed Flight Of The Conchords and Larry David's Curb Your Enthusiasm is freakin' great. I would get that on DVD from netflix and couldn't get enough!

She's done some great stuff. I haven't seen Weeds yet, so I may have to rent the first season.

I loved Band of Brothers, though not quite a series.

And I enjoy watching Soprano's reruns from time to time.

Carnivale was cool! I started watching it because of Clea Duvall and was actually quite surprised that I liked the show

HBO:
Sapranos was great.
6 Feet under was good at first but waned in the last season.
Flight of the Conchords is pretty good most of the time
Little Britain was F**kin great.
Bill Maher is a brilliant show...I don't ever miss it.
The Wire is perfect. Can't wait for a new season
Big Love doesn't do it for me.
Rome was OK
Summer Heights High was quirky but good.
Deadwood was pretty good
True blood is quite entertaining..but gory.
Entourage is really good as well.
Extras was very good
Da Ali G show....pretty damn funny

Showtime:

Weeds is pretty good
Dexter is excellent
Nurse Jackie is great after the first two episodes.
The Tudors is also quite good.

Cheers,
BT

I watched a few of them, but nothing recently airing.

The Sopranos, Oz, 6 Feet Under, and Entourage.

I gave a few other a shot, but none of them really caught me enough to make me come back and watch every week. Mater of fact, I hate the fact that HBO clutters up a perfectly good HD channel with all their series when they could be showing movies.

One of the best they had was a mini-series, Band of Brothers.
I actually picked up the Blu-Ray box set incredibly cheep around Christmas at Best Buy. Something like $30.00, IIRC.

I enjoy most of the series on HBO and Showtime.

not missing TrueBlood or Nurse Jackie.

the dialogue in Deadwood was mesmerizing and Ian McShane is an acting genius

F'n Deadwood? Bunch of cork soakers, they are.
(is that what you mean?)
I'm not offended by bad language, but that show must have had stock in F-bombs.

Of the current crop of HBO original series, I enjoy True Blood, Flight of the Conchords and Entourage. Haven't seen Hung yet, but it looks like it could be a hoot.
