I made a topic for exercise recommendations recently, and I got a lot of great responses. So now, in the mornings, I either swim or take a long walk around my neighborhood. I've noticed though, I have more free time after work. I work a night shift, and I generally come home anywhere from 11 PM to 2 AM, depending on the daily workload. After eating a meal, I spend about 3 to 6 hours winding down before I go to sleep.
Anyway, in the past 2 days, I started doing light exercises after my meal. Basically a few pushups, crunches, and some small free-weight exercises. I'm wondering if anyone here can recommend me some good exercises that I can do in my home, but will help me lose a bit of weight.
EDIT: Hopefully I can get a serious answer since I changed the title, lol.

If you really want to trim down you're going need to step outside and do sprints, (interval training) start off with a light jog and after 2 minutes sprint for 30 seconds. keep jogging for another minute and sprint for another 30. repeat this for about 15 minutes. Add time every week and cool down jogging at a continued pace for about 4-5 minutes at the end of your workout. Like this you will engage both fast and slow twitch muscle fibers and you will trim down. You should be drenched in sweat after your workout.

You could also try a variation of the leg lift that I learned while playing football. While on your back, lift both legs about 3" off the ground, and hold them straight out. Then make like a scissor motion a few times, always keeping your legs 3" off the ground. Those should help develop your abs.
I don't know that you'll drop loads of weight doing those, but it will help. The only successful way I have found to safely lose weight is cardio. Lots of it at a time, lots of times per week.

-30 squats with 150 lbs on my shoulders, in 10 rep increments.
-60 sit ups with a 45 lbs weight on my chest, in 20 rep increments.
-200 push ups, with push up bars, makes it a lot easier on your wrists.
-150 or so pullups
-50 curls on each arm, with an 80 lb dumbbell. In 10 rep increments.
I'm too cheap for a gym membership or one of those in home gyms ( bow-flex, etc). After all of that I sleep like a baby every night, and I feel great in the morning.

If you want to lose weight you'd be better off doing jogging, swimming, or active sports like soccer or football. I'm no expert but thats what I've always been told to do for weight loss. Eating right helps too.
