Does anyone play PS3 on their LCD Computer Monitor?

Whats up guys, trying to figure out if theres an easier way to do this than to buy this product

http://www.green-box.com.tw/products/view/id/127

I could buy a HDMI to DVI-D cable, but then I'd have no way to get the audio out... I'll be using my computer speakers so 1/8" jack is my only option for that, can't use the optical...

Holy cow that thing is over $250... NEVERMIND

I think maybe I'll go to Best Buy and get a HDMI-DVI-D cable and just use the component audio plugs out... have to figure out how to go from RCA to 1/8" but I'm sure there are adapters for that.

That's exactly what I do I run the HDMI-DVI-D into my Dell 22" monitor, then use the component cable to take the Audio to my Stereo system, using the Aux In jacks.

Works a treat

SAWWEEET got my system updating right now, works using the DVI-D input on my monitor. I had to set the resolution on the ps3 to 720p though because my monitor's max resolution is 1620x1050... ALMOST 1080 but it causes ghosting on that setting.

Almost time for GTA4!!!!!!

If you're sitting in front of your PC, why not use headphones?

I was thinking about doing that with an XBOX 360 (I can get the cables online for about $30) because I don't want to buy a new TV yet to enjoy the HD graphics.

Isn't it funny that someone is offering a product for $250 dollars that achieves something which can be done with a couple of cables costing one tenth of that
