| | | | Does Duct tape take the paint off of school Lockers? Seriously does it? I'm trying to keep them intact, not destroy them

| | | | Don't know about taking the paint off, but if duct tape is left in place long enough, attempting to remove it will leave behind a very stubborn residue of adhesive and maybe tape components. |

I dunno.
Can it?
Yes.
Effectively?
Probably not.
Efficiently?
No.
Should you try it, anyway?
Yes.
Why?
Because I'm curious how well it will work.
And remember: pics or it didn't happen.

If the surface wasn't clean when the tape was put on, probably not. If you're careful, it should be OK. If it leaves residue, mineral spirits, Naptha, GoofOff, Oops or 3M adhesive remover should get rid of the adhesive without affecting the paint, although some of the glue may have leached into the paint. |

But there are more and more cheap school furniture, so if its recent I would have my doubt. The newer desk chairs I have in my classroom break if they fall down after being set on top of the desk at the end of the day. Even 10 years ago that wouldn't happen. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
