Does imageshack hosting expire?

Is there some kind of predictable time limit that determines how long a file hosted on imageshack will remain there?

I've found that at least half of the two dozen or so pictures of my basses that I've hosted on imageshack are no longer available (404-file not found). But there doesn't seem to be any correlation between how long ago the file was posted & whether or not it's still there.

Whassup wit dat?

I don't know, but that's exactly the reason why I quit using Imageshack (the first image hosting service I found) and switched to Photobucket.
