Does this make me a dork?

Sign in to disble this ad
I just adopted a female all black border collie from the humane society, and I'm throwing around a couple names.

1. Mesa

2. Boogie

Does this make me a dork?

if you're a dork, you're a dork- a pet name won't change that. Personally I'd never name an animal something *musical* - I don't need people to know I'm a musician, unless I'm playing. At that point I hope it's obvious.
I do give you huge props for giving this dog a reprieve from a potential death sentence.

Yes.

You should name the dog Hosehead.

I also like that(Hosehead)better, but if you use it because I or anyone else thinks you should, you are a dork. I only tell because you need to know. That, and you asked.

And that ^

I don't envision "Boggie" as a female dog's name, but "Mesa" isn't too bad (in my opinion). With either of those names, the only people likely to recognize them as being music-related are other musicians.

The bottom line is...
Name her whatever you want. She's your pup.

Mesa or Boogie sound like poor pet names to me, male or female, but its your dog.

What does make you a dork is that your username reads as a plot of land for raising boners. Also, a dork is a whale's penis.

edit: I should use a smiley

Well if its not a musical reference, it will probably be a video game reference, so I guess that makes me a full blooded dork.

Given your username, I think "Shot" is appropriate.

"Come..."

I like "Boogie". At least it will make the neighborhood kids giggle when they hear it, confusing it with the crusted snot from inside one's nose.

You're officially a music dork when you adopt a second dog and use BOTH names.

I'm sure or friendly Moderator, MAJOR METAL, would approve. He named one of his Beagle pups "Metallica".

Those sound like cool names for German Shepards.
