Thank you for your quick response ,i want you to know that i really want the item and that is why i e-mail you in the first place and i would have come and pick it up with my truck and bring cash for it,but i am not in the state right now,so because of that i plan to send you Money Order Via UPS and i want you to get back to me with your full name and address so i can send out the Money Order to you,and when i get you address today you will receive the Money Order by this week and note that am going to send down my shipper to come for the prompt shipping as soon as you cashed the payment at your bank. so you dont need to bother yourself about the shipping,my shipper will come for the pick up at your house, and note that the Money Order will be overdraft payment that will cover the money of the ([sic]Ampeg product ) with the shipping cost,so when you get the Money Order cashed out at your bank you will deduct the money accross to your ([sic]Ampeg product),Which is $350.00 and send the balance to my shippper Via western union so when the shipper get the balance she will come for the pick up at your house,Please kindly reply me back with your direct phone number so i can inform you as soon as the payment is sent out and get back to me with your full name and address so that i can send the Money Order out to you.
| Is this a scam or what? I told this guy I'd send pictures - haven't yet and he e-mails me this huge lined out story of how I'm going to do all this crap? Too much work.
Sounds like a scam to me, also sounds like a P in the A.

You see the cash in your account, send the balance via Western Union, then find the bank claws their money back.
Cheers

The money order will be fake, that's why they are willing to pay you extra for your hassles. It will take over 2 weeks for this international money order to clear, and by then you will not be able to claim your money or your stuff.
Stay away! |

This is one of the most obvious scams I've read. Every sentence should have the word "SCAM" flashing in neon letter.

Universal truth #1 when dealing with a scammer; every word they type, write or say is a bald-faced lie. All they want is your money, and they will go to some pretty absurd lengths to get it. They have no morals and no qualms.
This is a standard overpayment scam, as has been said. Depending on what it is you're selling and where, you're better off advertising "FOR LOCAL PICKUP ONLY". If they like what they see, they come over, give it a once-over, and if they want to take it with them, they put a wad of cash in your hand and you help em load it (if it's big/heavy enough). PayPal can be gamed and checks/money orders faked. The only two methods of payment I totally trust are postal money orders, where they will check it and if it passes inspection you have your money free and clear, and cash. If I get a B of A money order, I tend to trust those since they can verify it.

It'll probably look like the same semi-literate gibberish that this demented pond scum sent to you before. |
