Hi everyone I want to share this message with you that I sent to Facebook, they want to cancel my account! I need to know your opinions...
To whom it may concern:
I prefer using Facebook than others like Myspace becuase is a seriously social network, just like me. I think Facebook is a tool, is a media to share my work with musicians around the world.
For example: Adam Philips (Saint John, NB) invited me to manage his page for bassists: Bass Players United. He watched my videos through those messages that I sent him. But I cannot access to contribute with them because you think that I am abusing of the Facebook services. Thatīs unfair.
I invite you to visit my profile and watch that I am not a spam and I never send trash messages. If I am sharing my videos with other bassists, I consider it a part of my work. I am an artist, I am not having fun on Facebook, I am working.
Even if you visit my website you will watch that I put a special link to connect me through the Facebook services. http://alejandro-lozano.com/index_ar...act_Extras.htm
Donīt cancel my account. I hope you allow me work in peace, and maybe in a close future young artists like us could stablish some agreements to find new ways to promote your social network and our art at the same time. Alejandro Lozano www.alejandro-lozano.com |

Do you think this "letter" may change my situation?
Have you ever had similar troubles on social networks? |

| | | They think that I am abusing of the facebook services because Iīve been sent some messages to musicians groups. Their "system" supposes that my messages are spam. In these messages I just put a "http" where people can watch one of my videos for example:
When I was 18 I listened the first Jaco Pastorius solo album that really inspired me to make music. At that moment I composed the next song for solo bass: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R4FNMy3Yjb8
Greetings from Mexico!
This is the trouble. |

OP has a facebook account that he manages, and sends a copious amount of messages from (legitimate).
FaceBook saw this and figured him for a spammer, and is going to / already has closed his account.
He's writting a letter to try to prove he's legit to keep this from happening, or reverse it.
I think the letter needs a lot of work if you're going for very professional, but it gets the point across. |

I use the facebook instant messager with some people, and I was sending my friend youtube clips. There is an hourly limit to the number of things you send from a similar web address, or the same web address. For example, I didn't resend the same video to multiple people, I was just giving my friend Leah a bunch of bands to try out and listen to.
However, once you start approaching this limit, facebook sends you warning messages saying that you're approaching spamming level. You are spamming people technically and it is wasting bandwidth in facebook's opinion. Especially since they warn you every 30 seconds saying that if you continue you're account will be temporarily disabled, and if you keep going on past that, your account will be deleted.
Methinks you didn't pay attention to anything they said at all.

| | | | So basically...you've been spamming people, they warned you for it, you carried on, they said stop it or get banned? Sounds like you should just quit the spamming. |
