'Soul Train' creator Don Cornelius dead in apparent suicide - latimes.com
For us older folks,...we knew the impact of his show. Soul Train along with a few others got me into wanting to play. He came to my High School in '77 and presented a show there. This dude had class and was the coolest host on TV. RIP Don Cornelius.

Loved that show in the 70s.

One of the most memorable moments was the 'night' Don and Mary Wilson had some serious 'legtricity' between them: Don Cornelius Dances in Soul Train Line With Mary Wilson - YouTube
