I thought I learned my lesson last year but kept using it. Once again I'm getting hosed on a transaction...not from the other person but from Paypal giving me the runaround. I am beyond done. If this gets deleted...fine. I just need to rant.
My biggest beef is the runaround. No one on the other end gives a crap. I have called the alternate numbers I found on line, half are now disconnected and the other half don't answer.
I did get a receptionist...she was freaked. Tried to put through to the 888 number. I said no, I said I wanted to speak with a supervisor. I rattled off a couple of the numbers that I had and she was a bit spooked.
I have no idea why I have stuck with this for so long. I have had about a half dozen transactions that were mind blowing in the way they can screw a person.
It's my fault for being dumb to have gone this long.

They left me sitting there looking like an ass to the seller because the money transferred over just fine, then they locked up the account and froze the funds in the other person's account for NO REASON. The money just sat there for over a week. |

| | | | It's really too bad, because I used to love PayPal. You can pay for something online in no time through PayPal, and when I started selling on eBay, I got my money with no hassles. Because I've been selling regularly, I still don't have any problems...yet. But I definitely feel for those who've been hit by PayPal's recent policies. It's like they're trying to drive loyal users away.

Security takes priority when I'm dealing with money, whether it be mine or someone else's.

I used to buy and sell on Ebay before that got out of hand.
MO's will be the way to go from now on.

Because it came out of my bank account...their excuse is it takes 3-5 days for that money to clear...funny how it came out of my account instantly days ago and will only go back into my Paypal account rather than back to my bank account. The frustration also comes with the phone calls. They aren't a bank...there is no waiting period. I called them out on their own document they sent me...just bad policy and bad customer service.
So I'm waiting for this to clear and finally dumping the account. Good riddance.

I don't understand it. | They get their money as soon as they want it, and they hold on to your money as long as possible. As long as your money is in an online "account" you may be more likely to spend it, and then they are more likely to make more money off of a transfer fee.
