to vote.. this isn't a political thread and I'm not arguing for anyone to vote in any direction or for any candidate.. just do your duty as an american citizen.. If you've recently moved and your state is part of super tuesday, you've only got a day to make sure.. You can check here.. http://votepoke.org |

If they don't care enough to get there, to register, to educate themselves, etc., they likely are so uninformed that they best stay home and watch American Idol. Probably can't even name any of the candidates, just pull the lever for whatever party their family always voted for. It's not a ring-toss at the carnival.

If they're too lazy to go through the process themselves of registering and driving to the polls to make an informed decision, that's their problem. If the candidates are so bad that less than 1/2 of registered voters bother to go vote (very common in the US), then that is the political parties' responsibility. Give us candidates that will make us want to vote... I vote everytime the polls are open. School board, city/county, State, primaries, off-year congressional, all of them. Sometimes I do write in votes. In the last state I lived in, you voted yes or no on judicial retention and I almost always voted no. I vote no on almost any new law, regardless of what it's for. But I do vote.

I don't care if the disfunctional rif raff of America cant vote. If someone has outstanding warrants, overdue tickets and bill collectors after them, can they really make an intelligent decision regarding the election??? It reminds me of the movie Gangs of New York when they rounded up all the drunks and prostitutes to vote |

i say, if you can vote, then vote. doesn't matter who, as long as it's an informed vote. there are a lot of us who can't vote and it burns.
