If you happen to notice that I'm around a lot less, never fear. I am not dead, sick or ailing (aside from this damn effed up finger). I am just extra busy at work. It seems that my almost 6 years of loyalty to this company, doing a job I can barely stay awake for, has finally paid off.
I finished a huge project for my company last summer just in the nick of time, all thanks to my craftiness. It seems as though my hard work, for once, did not go unnoticed. See, Ive been thinking up a way to turn all my efforts into some sort of promotion here at work. I thought waiting til the end of the year to make these suggestions would be a good idea since we just got a new President and thought things might need to settle down a bit before I could make something happen.
Well, I guess some dudes in upper management have been thinking along the same lines. One of the sales managers, whom I had to work pretty closely with during the aforementioned project, spoke to me about furthering said project along in a bid to increase our sales. After completion of the project last August we had an increase of 1000 sales to private consumers in September alone. Not enough to be profitable yet, but enough to justify the money spent taking the project on. So now I have about 4 times as much work as I did before. And, while I didnt exactly get a "promotion" so to speak, the company is hiring someone to work for me. So now I get to be somebody's boss! And along with that will come a payraise, most definitely.
So, though Ive found my work pretty boring for the last 6 years one could say I have a newfound interest in the work I do. To anyone who thins theyre stuck in a dead end job I'll say Have some Faith. Time and company loyalty can pay off. Luckily Ive downlaoded the TB app to my Droid so I can still check in now and then other than just during office hours!
