I upgraded my Firefox to 3.5.5 yesterday and ran into nothing but trouble since
and judging by Mozillas Support Forum, so have many others
While the new add tab feature is cool as well as the start private browsing and the ability to limit the awesome bar, this version runs SLOOOOOOOOWW!!!
half the time new windows dont connect
I went back to FF 3.0 and ran into none of these issues
anyone else getting good / bad issues?

My goodness, but it's quick. If they could only have something as effective as FF's Adblock Plus plugin there'd be no contest.

| | | | I love my FF3.5. No troubles whatsoever, other than searching for compatible plugins.. And that was at the time 3.5 was first launched. Everything works here, and it seems to work faster than 3.0.

As crazy as that sounds, it fixed my similar problems - pages (in all my tabs) just stopped loading or timed out. It was as if the internet just hit "pause". Updating flash fixed that for me. |

Click on what you want gone and it goes (theres a few where it doesn't get the addy or something, but you can enter **** manualy).
I know for most people on the internet these days a little work is a lot of scary, but if you're like me and only visit a few sites regularly and just hate some of the flash animated ones it works out pretty good. I think it was a day, and no ads on photobucket or TB.
There are a couple of javascript adblockers, but I find they don't work as well. YMMV tho |
