| why pay $500 to get dreads? pay someone to put your hair in to 100 braids, let them sit for about 3 days then take them out 1 at a time and back comb them. sure it takes a bit longer but really all your paying for is segmenting the hair. in a year if you do them yourself they will look the same as if you paid someone $500.
I've had my dreads for a year tomorrow, I did them myself (gf segmented the hair for me) and guess what? They look like anyone elses dreads at a year. quick dread lock tips DO NOT USE WAX!!!!!!!!!!! NO WAX!!!!!!! did i mention NO WAX AT ALL FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THINGS RASTA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! For soap use a liquid based residue free soap, I suggest Dr bronner's magic soap.
