Drummer slept with MY girl, and I get kicked out

Hey,

So sorry for the rant, but talkbass always seems like a good place to go for that.

So a few weeks ago I met this chick at one of my shows. She was pretty cool we ended up becoming good friends and had a few sleepovers, whatever. Well she started talking to my drummer simply cuz I jokingly told her to be a 'band groupie'...well she didn't take it jokingly.

So my drummer calls me up one night and says, hey whats going on between you and ...... I said officially nothing yet were just friends, but I'm working on it. He said, "Don't worry Broseph, I wont let her get between us or anything, She just has been texting me lately". I told him not to worry its okay I told her to text ya those things. Well... He promised me that he wouldn't do anything with her that would affect the band.

And well next day she calls me crying saying how they hooked up. He denied it, and a huge drama trail followed all day. It sucked. Well I went to dinner with her that night and between the two of us we got stuff worked out. Later that night I went to a midnight snack with him and got it worked out.

We are scheduled to have band practice today at 3pm. I woke up this morning to have my usual morning convo with ...... and I decided to check the band myspace lo and behold the Password had been changed. Went to the Yahoo account, and guess what... the password was changed. Went to the photobucket accoung... once again... password had been changed.

So was I wrong to start drama when the drummer broke his promise? Should I be the one getting kicked out? Should I even go to this practice? We were spose to have a show on May 10th, May 31st and June 8th. Should I try to stay with them until then. Or just not show up to practice, until they have the decency to properly kick me out???

oh and on top of all that I lost my job last night cuz i read the schedule wrong... GREAT ***** DAY!

maybe they just changed the passwords cause the myspace got hacked or something.
Have you talked to them yet?

It's just a girl, kick her to the curb.

I keep trying to get ahold of them, but no one is answering their phones.

The only reason I would say I'm jumping to conclusions, is because the last 2 or 3 times that passwords were changed, I was e-mailed, text messaged, and called about it within 15 minutes.

It's supposed to be "Bro's before Ho's" but you just found out the hard way that it's quite often the opposite. Don't waste anymore time with that band or that broad, they're obviously not worth it.. It's time to move on..

I have no hard feelings with either of them to be honest. It just would have been nice to have received noticed that I was no longer a member of the group.

Moving on wont be hard, considering a lot of the contacts (booking agents, promoters, etc) are personal friends/acquaintances of mine. And I would be more than willing to bring them over to any new band I form, or join.

Never associate with guys who don't honor the bro's before ho's clause. They deserve to have their mancards revoked.

No offense man, but she sounds like a catch and release if she can't keep her pants on regardless of whatever you "worked out". It'll happen again.

I know a guy whose drummer started screwing his wife. He stayed in the band while she cheated on him even though he knew it! Then she came back to him, then turned around and started screwing the drummer again and he still stayed in the band! Apparently the drummer just recently left and I don't know he status of the bassist's relationship with his wife. Count yourself lucky you weren't in that situation and I would hope you'd NEVER be THAT dumb!

I agree, bro's before ho's because NO ***** is THAT good!

LMFAO!

Reminds of a guy who got his wife into swinging cause he was into it. She left him for a dude in the swingers club and the stopped letting HIM in.

Priceless.

At age 20, they should all be catch and release. At that stage in a man's life, women are nothing but dream killers...

Thanks everyone. I got some good laughs reading the responses.

I guess the guitarist who finally answered his phone told me everything was changed cuz he thought that I was going to quit and then try to sabotage the band somehow via myspace/yahoo/photobucket.

So he said he'd change it back today. And that he still expected to see me at 3pm. So if worse comes to worse...I'll just bring my bass gear home with me today. Unfortunately that means I'll hafta sell it all cuz i wouldnt be able to justify keeping it all!

edit: Also ya'll are right, I tried to tell my drummer that last night at Perkins. 'Dude, if we let this one chick get between us whats going to happen later on? Its going to be drama after every gig. I mean if you really want to get with the ONE chick who hits on the bassist...lets at least double team her' haha JK
