Wow! Pro level at 13! He's gonna go far is he chooses to do so. I'd also recommend that he be well rounded. By that, tell him to emcompass as many different styles of music that he can!

Thanks - He's been interning at our studio and has been obsorbing so many genres of music - I think he's off to a great start. Thanks for your positive feed back which I will share with him.

Wow, he's amazing! I agree with DWbass suggest to him to get some other genres of music under his belt, it will help a lot if he starts doing his own music.

Nice video. He seems really comfortable and affluent with the kit. I certainly wish I had started drums that early.

A few minor criticisms: Limit the camera angles on the videos.. the switching back and forth gets kind of annoying, especially with the colour/quality changes between the cameras. You really only need one good camera angle, and maybe one more for the feet.

Also, maybe tell him that stick tricks are cool, but to limit them where appropriate. It's cool to throw in a video, but it seems a little gratuitous by the end.

All in all though, those are hardly even criticisms of his playing because he is great, especially for that age. Tell him to keep it up, learn as much as he can, and push himself.
