Drunk people

Sign in to disble this ad
I spent the last four days at my company's yearly meeting for all of our customers. One evening, I drank too much (six double Makers and Cokes with a few more singles). The next night I did not drink at all.

After going through both experiences, I have come to the conclusion that it is more enjoyable to watch other people get drunk and act like fools. I also know for sure that I am bringing a video camera next year. I need to get some of this stuff on video for blackmail later on.

Oh yeaaaaaah! The biggest reason I go to parties is to watch people in their most relaxed and well, fun loving state.

Plus picking on drunks is so much fun.

I'm a Finn. I'm a biker. I frequently go to biker parties, to play or to party.

I don't drink.

That has raised some eyebrows and raised some questions as well.

I too feel like it's fun to watch people to get stupid drunk.

Not in a million years would I consider videotaping any of the events I witness though .

Regards
Sam

that's why on reality shows they always keep the drinks flowing. the more they're socially lubricated, the more likely they are to embarrass themselves and act dumb and emotional.

I haven't been drunk in so long I can't remember the last time. I stopped getting drunk at clubs eons ago. There's always some drunken jack**s that needs straightening out, and I'm just the guy to do it for him.

I'm blanking on his name right now, but I once heard a comedian make a great observation on the "Instant a-hole, just add alcohol" line. He said, "I have news for you. It wasn't the alcohol. In the insurance game, this is what they call a 'pre-existing condition'. You just lost the ability to hide it."

Thumbs down Grumpy old man here

I dunno...

I've decided recently that I pretty much hate being around drunk people. Few too many bar gigs under my belt, maybe. That, and watching some of my closest friends do the downward spiral with booze.

I particularly don't dig the way the speech becomes all slurred and the content becomes very tedious, unoriginal and repetitive.

If I enjoyed being around a bunch of slobbering, incoherent, people who are in my face and hard to reason with, I'd go work in a daycare. I've found kids and dunks to be very much alike and FWIW I can't freaking stand either of 'em.

If you're enjoying the show, more power to ya! That blakcmail idea sounds good. (I can't tell you how glad I am I got all this out of my system before the onset of cell phone cameras, e-mail and YouTube. )

my new band holds a beer chugging contest in the middle of our set, and to the winner goes a beer.

We did that once... our guitarist fell off the stage two songs later. I'm not sure if he won or lost.

Wow, I can't stand drunks when I'm sober. I generally want to punch them out, and I'm a Buddhist. Everyone's shouting, spitting while they talk and repeat the most idiotic things over and over.

Unless you're driving later or a recovering alcoholic then have a drink. No offense, but I tend to feel uneasy around people who won't have at least one at parties, bars, or functions when offered.

As for drunks? Can't stand them either.
