That was definitely one of the deciding factors for me.....that along with the fact that chicks dig the Duc cause it's so sexy!!

The Ducs are good bikes, but they can also be costly in terms of maintenance.
I ride, but I'm not on a naked, I ride a Busa. I've always ridden sportbikes.
If I were looking for a naked bike or a streetfighter it would likely be a Suzuki SV. They are reliable, easy to afford, and a lot quicker than the Duc or the Buell.

To answer your question, I believe they cost the same to maintain as a Suzuki. |

| | | | I had a monster... beautiful machine. It definitely got people's attention. I loved the sound of the desmo motor and it had a lot of torque. But it probably wasn't the most pratical bike.
I guess it really depends on what you are looking for. |

Plus that thing is just wicked on the street. Very usable power, and lots of it. Dealers are fairly plentiful, with one in most big cities. Again, not like the Japanese bikes where there's one every 10 miles it seems, but not too hard to find if you need service or parts.

Owned a Buell, been there, done that. Harley service is useless. I bought my Hayabusa while my Buell sat in the shop for a month. That was the best decision I ever made
Duc's are beautiful bikes but I've often seen them go home on flatbeds as well. Great bikes but most people that I know have them as a second bike. |
