In addition to all the local stores that are boarding up, I've noticed several new voices on my sports talk radio station. At first, I though people were on vacations, but no:

Quote:
In Los Angeles, Sports By Brooks reports that 570 KLAC’s programming will be merged into the national Fox Sports Radio. FSR middayers (9am to 12pm Eastern) Craig Shemon and James Washington will be replaced by Clear Channel’s Premiere Radio Networks taking over the distribution of The Content Factory’s Dan Patrick Show. KLAC night hosts Petros Papadakis and Matt Smith will replace Krystal Fernandez and Andrew Siciliano in the 7pm - 10pm Eastern slot. Two of KLAC’s afternoon co-hosts, Steve Hartman and Vic Jacobs will join Chris Myers in the 3pm-7pm Eastern slot on FSR. The third KLAC co-host Mychal Thompson is out, as is Fox Sports Radio overnight host Ben Maller.
http://radioinsight.com/headlines/cl...ports-changes/

All gone.

And let me tell ya, the replacements for Siciliano and Fernandez [Petros Papadakis and Matt Smith] are horrible. Horrible!!!

Well, Bassrique, you've been "Clear-Channeled".

That means all your local talent has gotten the boot, and your station is saving money by putting on the same nationally distributed program that 300 other stations all have. It's the McDonald's-ization of radio.

Welcome to the monotony of modern radio broadcasting. I hate it. Local radio is where it's at.
