Duke Alumna, Karen Owens wrote a mock senior project of all the athletes she shagged at Duke. It includes Power Point presentations and detailed ratings. If you want to read the actual thing, go to Jezebel.com. I won't provide a direct link since it is pretty raunchy.

It is interesting that she provided actual photos of the men. Initially some sites printed the men's pics until someone realized that it was a double standard since a no woman's pic would be published if she were in the same situation.

The funny thing is that Owens now says she is sorry, and never meant for the list to get out. Given the reality of the internet, how could a smart Duke alum be sio stupid?

I hate "fake apologies". She is only bugged because there is negative attention on it. If there had been glowing reviews in all of the major papers, there would be no apology.

I wonder how her 'study' relates to the Men's Lacrosse Team.

She nailed several lacrosse team members members.

She doesn't seem so upset that it went viral, but that the reposted presentation didn't black out the actual names of the subjects and so violated their privacy unwillingly and could be harmful to them.

At least in this case, she is in the news, not the other way around.

As a person who is pretty PC and supportive of feminism, I was disappointed to know that women's sites did not initially extend the courtesy of anonymity to the men whose privacy was violated. They would have been upset if women had been treated that way.

Double standards are abundant with most "-isms"

either way, that guy still knows it's him. Like the jim gaffigan joke about how they always show the fat guy walking through the mall talking about obesity "hey...i have the shirt...OH ****..." "heyy jim saw your fat *** on the news today" "i know...."

i feel bad about the ones that she dissed in the paper - the baseball dude she said she was dissapointed to go down on. Like...ouch...

but if it was a guy writing about girls doing it, OH SNAP...you did not just diss the fact that she had a jungle, oh no you didn't!

Yeah, if anything this is a great highlight of how standards are applied for men talking about women and women talking about men. Maybe it'll turn out for the better in the big picture, but it definitely hurts to be one of the guys she disses.

The lesson to learn is that no one man can satisfy all women. I'm sure every man she had was not impressed with her either.

Why anyone would want to adopt this particular "male characteristic" is beyond me. One of the things I like about women is the fact that they so often don't act like the stereotypical guy when it comes to certain things.

I would not be surprised if women talked about men in a pretty similar way that men talk about women. Not sure if there is as much exaggeration with the gals as I suspect is true of guys.

The problem here was the documentation and sharing electronically. If there is one lesson here, it is - back away from the internet. Not everything needs to be documented for all time. Try a little discretion. Don't post or text anything that you do not want to see on the front page of your hometown newspaper (or I guess home page of your hometown newspaper's website.)

They talk much, much worse and raunchier. Men rarely go in details unless it's to brag about it.

Now this is a difference. Typically women will admit less partners than they really had, not more.

The reactions are funny to see though. OMG, students have sex?

This situation shows just how easy it is a for a woman to give up p*#%y. The woman looks alright, but she is not a hottie or dime, IMO. She was just willing to drop her pants or open her mouth, and most guys went for it.

The lesson is that it never hurts to have a little discretion. I'm sure all of these guys would have preferred a cold shower or a bottle of lotion to having their images all over the internet.

Depends on the guy...

Being rated a 10.25/10 can't hurt.

In the other thread we had about this topic I remember seeing her picture, she looked better than average to me, but thats a subjective tase for sure. However, your point still stands, and I agree 100%. It is much easier for a woman to get laid than a man, even if she's ugly. The fact is, at 2am, when a dude has no options he goes for the leftovers.

Personally, had I been one of the guys she slept with and documented online I wouldnt really give a damn, so long as she described our situation accurately and without malice. Being that Im a relatively nice guy, not a creep, and good in the sack, Im sure she would have had some nice things to say.
