E-commerce gone wrong, Illinois

So I ordered and paid by paypal, got no confirmation from seller ( upright bass pickup manufacturer direct sale). After a few days I sent an email, nada, then I phoned with skype and got cut off the answerphone after 4 seconds each time. What's up with that?

I wonder if anone in Crete, Il would be up for a more direct approach if I can't get anywhere with contacting them?

I think I ordered one of those pickups (forget the name, it's basically a contact that you wedge into the bridge) and got it with no problem. They might be closed because it is a big US holiday weekend.

Yes, long weekend at least. Many folks in the USA take a one or even two week holiday that includes July 4th. Hopefully it is just the long weekend. I would think that anyone who was gone longer would set up an autoresponder.
