They do have a nice set of pincers, and are known to bite. Unless your house is very damp and dark, I would believe them to be an isolated incident. That is, unless you are leaving them a food source, or there are other insects present for them to prey on.

They burrow to bury their eggs. so I guess thats what it was doing.

I did read that the burrowing was kind of an urban legend. |

However my Uncle John was a combat medic (Corpsman) during ww2 on Iwo Jima. He used to enjoy telling the story about a millipede that he extracted from a guys ear..
