I just hope it weakens a little, which it probably won't seeing as how it has a lot of open, warm water ahead of it.... that way I could just stay at home and hang instead of running for the hills!

|  | Registered User | | | | | The last hurricane I was in was David. A CAT 5 that was supposed to hit us right in Miami, but weakened to a CAT 2 before tuning north along the coast. It was a dud for a 15 year old kid wanting to live through a hurricane, but it killed over 2000 people in it's coarse. Good luck to you. |

Unless you're in a low lying area or live in a shoddily built house, it's usually not the storm itself that sucks so much, it's the week without electricity and cleaning up all the broken tree limbs and torn up fencing that gets to ya.

If they keep moving it by the time it gets up here it'll hit the Outer Banks, and we'll just get the edge of it.
