Easter in the 'Ditch (Pics)

Sign in to disble this ad
Well, to celebrate the Easter spirit (and the fact that I don't have to go to work today) I thought I would pop outside and take a few photos of my local neighborhood, Shoreditch, in the East of London. No real reason but I just though I would post a few of the pics. Hope you enjoy.

Hey! I see some Banksy! Nice.

I like the pics. The first one and second are pretty awesome.

The rest just as cool...well, except for the flower one

They are not all graffiti, This one (below) was commissioned by Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails as part of the art is resistance campaign. I should imagine some of the others might be commissions too.

It all looks like a really interesting place to live/work.

Tis art.

Here in the "A" you get arrested for that and probably beaten if you have anything on the contrary to say.

There is a local art gallery here with a hip-hop club in the back that has art like this from wall to wall (not just someones name), I actaully have a DJ gig there this weekend.

I hear that Chernobyl is full of this stuff.

It looks like an area of London I would avoid like the plague!

I can see why most Londoners are desparate to buy property in places like Brighton!

Cool shots, Mark. I was in your neighborhood not two months ago, I recognize a couple of these! I was there for work, I stayed at the Hoxton on Great Eastern.

That's not a bad hotel. I really like the area. It's not crowded with old "Lindquist" like fuddy duddies!

The UK is home to some of the best graffiti artists. Dolk and Banksy are great, but there are so many other talented and unrecognized artists.
