Go to bed.
It's usually post gig and pre bed, so just going to bed handles it for me.

Good question! I keep lots of dried fruit, fresh fruit and juices around. Also you need to keep busy.

The trick is substituting other foods that don't stick to human ribs. Ouch, did I say that?

play world of warcraft, you'll stop thinking about eating in matter of minutes (as well as forgetting to sleep, wash and go to the toilet).

Find something to do instead. Boredom is a choice.

Rub one out and take a nap. I find it challenging to eat while doing either. Repeat as necessary.

Like Becker said, keep lots of healthy stuff around, so if you're bored,
you won't reach for junk. It won't kill a diet, just watch the intervals,
2-3 hours gap between snacks/meals is about right.
The human body should actually consume managable portions aka "the five meals a day diet" (diet is Bs, its a lifestyle change that keeps the weight off permanently) so the metabolism can continue burning without being overwhelmed.
I think my post is OT, sorry! Heh.
Just my 2cents.

Eat something like plain, lightly saled popcorn. I keep a jar of unsalted, dry roasted peanuts or wallnuts to munch as well. A few handfulls satisfies and it doesn't pack the pounds on. Walnuts are REALLY good for you and eating them tires your jaw out

Bass in hands = snacks out of hands.

Also cigarettes and beer...but you aren't legal, and beer is just as full of calories.

Don't sit in front of the TV, i always get the urge to eat something when i do..dunno why.
Just get something to keep yourself bussy.
Or....don't buy any food. Maybe a bit drastic though

Hey, mister, I've lost 30 lbs already. However, the more weight I lose the fatter I feel when I look in a mirror, or just look at myself without the aid of refectory devices. **** sucks.

I totally understand the situation. I have a lot of free time, and I love eating.

That said, boredom/lack of something to do isn't a bad thing - it's potential. It's an opportunity. Think of it like one. Find something to do - it doesn't even need to be all that productive. I go outside and read a book, or go on a walk. Play music. Read something real and worth reading even if it's just online.

There's so much to do in this world, and we spend so little time on it, much less with the ability to choose what we do, that there's no reason not to make good use of the time you've got.

Sucks, but after 9 months of my wife having to eat for two, I'm in a groove. Unfortunately for my weight, that groove involved a spiritual journey of beer tasting, culminating in a 2.25 gallon keg a couple weeks ago. I just bought the IPA keg last night. FAT.

I've got this problem too. What i usually do is brush my teeth, chew some gum, or find a drink that's flavored but not gonna be full of sugars and calories - i use flavored water for this.
