It may not help you, but my advice for selling on ebay is don't. someone posted this link recently, worth a looksee, and 3.5% fee. 1/4 of ebay and paypal fees!!!! http://reverb.com/

Does it have as much traffic as ebay does

it just dropped in january, so no way. but ebay quite honestly suxbalz for a seller. i'll take the hit on asking price just to NOT sell there, and have them TRIPLE-DIP fees: final value fee. shipping charged fee. paypal fee. not to mention the listing fees, and extra stuff they charge for more pics and the other stuff. Then there's the jerkwads that bid with no intention of actually buying, the endless emails explaining stuff that's clearly stated in the ad, the f*^&kton of international ebayers that berate you for not selling outside the states.... the reasons go on forever. i see you're a supporting member... why not list here?
edit: oh. nevermind.

I hate Ebay so much that I've actually traded things away to a music store for less than what I would get had I used Ebay. In those cases the music stores were ones who have treated me well and I'd rather give them money than give a cent to Ebay.

I love eBay. I've bought and sold things on there since 1998. I've bought two basses on there this past year without any problems (and they were shipped internationally). Out of hundreds of transactions, I've had maybe two or three that didn't pan out and that was on small items like CDs.
eBay has a good pretty good feedback system for buyers and sellers. You'll reach thousands and thousands of more people on eBay than you will on Talkbass, Craigslist, or pretty much any other website that's out there.

I sell on eBay. I complain a lot but it's not too bad. Yeah there are fees and such but I just take that into account on my asking price. (via "Buy It Now", Reserve price or starting price) Ain't no biggie.
My biggest complaint though is that it's very slanted towards the buyer with little protection for the seller. It's not hard at all for a seller to get screwed so my advise is that if/when you list something make sure that you describe it very accurately and encourage potential buyers that they can ask questions. Make everything so obvious that a 1st grader could understand. And always ship with tracking and insurance
You should be ok
ebay isn't working really well with firefox at my house north of LA, still works good on safari, i've been more into going to little stores recently, just because it gets me out of the house and i don't have to deal with something arriving a week late or somebody unloading a dud neck, unwound pickup, or poorly rewired body on me

If you do not have a good feedback rating and a lot of it, it will be very hard to get a good price for your gear.
