Ok. Some googling indicated that he is a pompous asshat.

I like the cut of the Hardy shirts, since the tapered look works on a tall and slim body such as mine...but there's no way in hell that I'd pay $100 or more for an effin' tshirt. I don't mind investing a little in a quality piece of clothing that's going to last, and by last, I mean both in terms of tangible quality and style. The Ed Hardy stuff is going to be like a bad leisure suit in a matter of time. It's not like a suit or a nice button down that you can wear for years and not look like a doofus without any fashion sense.

I put Affliction in the same category. I actually like some of the Affliction designs, but I can get similar graphic Ts for 3/4s of the price. I can rock them while they're in style, and when they aren't, I won't feel like I just lost half of my life savings in the stock market.

Over the summer, I won an Ed Hardy hat in a 50/50 raffle. It's a REALLY nice one, VERY well made and cool as hell looking. My daughter says they sell for about 75 bucks. I never wear it though and I'm a tattoo nut with a full sleave on one arm It's like excessively biker/redneck tattoo blingy

I'm tatted up myself and really don't appreciate the Miami/LA Ink; reality show/fashion commercialization of tattoo culture.

Same here. I really don't care for the style of any of the Miami Ink artists. Kat does some nice portraits but I could skip the rest of the show

My college is full of Ed Hardy wearers. My Roommate last year had no less than 40 or 50 different shirts.

But his family also had two private jets, so no big surprise there.

Not a fan of it myself. If I'm gonna spend that money (occasionally) it's going to be Lacoste, Ralph Lauren, or Burberry.

I know a 16 year old that is doing the same thing, only it looks better. He is also almost a year into his tattoo apprenticeship.

I think his stuff is really cool, albeit a bit expensive. The style may be a bit too 'loud' for most people, but different strokes for different folks.
