Hostess stuff isnt all that great anyway, theyre best product (other than Zingers) is the chocolate chemical cupcake. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zingers

Oh, and Little Debbie ftw! For the cost of a pair of Twinkies you can get something like 6-8 snack cakes.

| | | | As long as the Twinkie is turned into a cornbread cake with whipped / foamed bacon-dripping filling, I'm in.
Otherwise, r.i.p.
But yes, the job losses are dire and unfortunate. Hope someone moves in swiftly and stabilizes the company in some way.

On a serious note, it would be very sad and unfortunate for all those folks to become unemployed. The only possible silver lining to it would be that all that junk would have to come off the shelf.

Hostess has filed bankruptcy twice in the past eight years. The CEO is trying to blame it all on the unions, but even he admitted the company has been poorly managed. This company is dying because people are more health-conscious and snack-food competition has increased.
