Who's got the crazy sales?

I was looking around on Amazon this morning and they were liquidating some watches. I'm about to order an Invicta watch that usually costs $1,800 for $270. I think most "luxury" goods are being sold for blow out prices like this. It is definitely a buyer's market right now, and not a great time to be a retail store owner.

I just picked up a new snowboard deck and boots for less than half of retail. Buyers market it is.

It's pretty insane here.... some of the stores are doing 75% off. Granted, for many stores it's 75% off whatever already didn't sell, but....

My GF works for Ann Taylor and says that they're pretty desperate these days, trying to make ANY money they can.

I was at GC this morning.

They didn't seem too motivated to cut prices on anything. There was supposed to be a "sale" on, too.

I don't think I've ever seen those less than 80%-85% off at Amazon, as their MSRPs are totally imaginary. Just a FYI.

I found some good deals at Macy's, Nordstroms (the mens half yearly sale started today), Lids, and the electronics department at Sears.

I'll have to hit up Macy's and Nordstroms. I refuse to pay full price for the clothes I like from there. Their sales are sometimes worth checking out. Dillards is where I get the best deals on men's clothes usually.

I no longer shop on boxing day. Sure the sales are really nice but the traffic, line ups, all the extra time it takes is a major headache. And I like to think my time is worth something .

Amen! After my wife came home with $100 worth of lotion (!), she practically pushed me out the door to go buy something at GC, citing the ads she'd heard on the radio. I was hoping to stumble upon one of those blowout Peavey VB-2s, but GC had nothing on sale. Geez, even their string prices are ridiculous. $29 for a four-string set of FatBeams?
