Ending of Games

Well as some of you know, I made a recommend me a PS2 Game thread. I ended buying something that wasn't mentioned by anyone but it happened to catch my eye. The game was very addictive but I beat it in just 15 hours which is basically 1 day of game play for me when I'm addicted. I could play it again and finish it in 10-12 hours now. The game has a hero mode and a villain mode in the middle where you choose your side for the rest of the game but it's pretty much the same thing just different areas. I decided to look a little into a walk through after beating it to see if I wanted to play it again and after it just sounded more and more familiar, I decided, dang, it's the same.

So now to the point. I love beating a game cause, well, I beat the game, but I hate ending a game because then I'm bored again and you just finished something you were having fun through the whole thing. The best games though are games that have a good sequel. And you have the sequel. You finish the game and then you pop it out, put the other one in, and start playing again and it's like reading a book. This works best with RPG's IMO. The game I just beat has announced the sequel in 2006 but there's not much known about it apparently. It's going to be released in japan first but it got moved from ps2 to ps3 which sucks because I won't have the money for a long time for a ps3.

Now I gotta sit around and hope that Christmas day I get a good ps2 or PC game but I think I'll be happy with whatever I get. I have a couple games here that I could play but some are those one's that just really aren't good. I like a good rpg like Steambot Chronicles, Final Fantasy series, Grandia series, and so on. And when you beat it, you're just like, man, there needs to be another. And then you keep playing the game you beat hoping you found something you didn't do, and you check the walkthroughs till it's all done. And you get that little spark sometimes when you do find something you didn't know about but as soon as you finish with it, it's all over again.

I guess that's what fantasy is though. It's a great feeling playing the games and it gets the time to go by and you have a large amount of entertainment but when it's gone, it's so empty feeling and you just don't know what to do about it for a little while. And if you don't have much money, you can't just be like, well time to rent or buy a game. Although, I might be able to trade in some of the games I'm not playing and get some credit from gamestop or something and look for another game.

That's one of the nice things about games. You trade them in, although not for nearly as much as you bought them for, and then get some money back and buy another. I think I'll look around for another RPG. Those kinds of games are great. I know I said I was looking for a 2 player game preferably in the other thread but that was mainly so me and my brother could hang out while he was back over the holiday's but it turns out he'll only be around for 3 days and then he's going back. I think on the 26 I'll go to Gamestop and get another game.

I know I'll probably get caught in traffic because on the 26 people are returning stuff they didn't like that they got for christmas but you know what, when I'm bored, sitting in my car just listening to music really isn't that bad. Also, I'll have a new game to play and I can sit at home with my new rpg which means 10 - 60 hours of game play time. And when I'm done and tired and ready for bed, I'll look at the clock and be like, oh where does the time go? And then I'll remember, oh yeah, into my game. Good night game. And then I'll go to bed, wake up in the afternoon, go to the bathroom, get some food and start playing the game again.

You probably think I have no life due to my schedule but at the time that's true. I'm not going to school right now but I will be later in January. I don't have a job, although I have spent a lot of time looking. Hopefully I'll get one. And to the last point of my defense even though you aren't attacking me yet, why don't I have a girlfriend? Well me and my last girlfriend broke up and the next girl I was trying to get with had been dating some guy for 3.5 years so she wasn't about to leave him and then I lost my job and after that I haven't had much money and I like some money when I first start meeting a girl because I think dinner and/or a movie are a great first date and a good way to leave a good second impression. Cause the first impression is talking to her and asking her on the date.

But back on track. Or more so, to the conclusion. Good games are obviously good, and like a good book, you want to get to the end to see how they end, but it's always saddening when a fantasy goes away. Although somewhere inside the kid in all of us, we wish some of these fantasies would come through. Thank you for reading if you did and this has been a post by Araillac the TB'er with his new keyboard.
