Who has seen this? This might be the most insane flick I've seen in the last 10 years. |

I thought it was going to be a surfing movie. I watched what I could just now. I had to stop during the abortion scene.

-Mike | Oh yeah. I totally forgot about that scene. Damn. There's some heavy stuff in this movie. In the context of the whole movie, that part barely registered as a blip on my radar, and now that I remember it, that part is pretty graphic too. I got so sucked into the movie I caught myself drooling at one point. |

Nothing, and I mean nothing, is left to the imagination. Maybe if you're high/stoned/drunk/tripping on acid/tweaking/whatever, it won't be such a big deal.

The way the filming was done and the post-processing really helps to makes the movie harsh on top of the drama that the story is. At first some passages seem confusing but it all comes to "make sense" after some time, the way the filming is done is often the biggest hint of what's going on and the type of transition between place and scenes to but many passages as well as the ending is left to the interpretation. I never really watched movies like that, and as a first I think it sets the bar high. A very rough and a bit shocking movie that captivates. That's how I see it at least, gotta watch it properly sometime. |

-Mike | Yeah in hindsight this scene is very graphic. I left it wondering if it was a real abortion. It was much harsher the second time through. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
