If you were given undeniable evidence that cutting your grass two inches longer than you currently do, would decrease the amount of Carbon Dioxide in the atmosphere and increase the amount of Oxygen, would you?
Just a simple yes or no, it's not a topic that needs to be debated here on Talkbass. I just want to get a general feel for what kind of response to expect.
Thanks for your cooperation!

Sure... Why not?

This feels like some sort of trick question. | I agree with you, but voted no. If the "undeniable evidence" includes a reason for why we need to increase the oxygen content then I have no issue letting the stuff grow a little longer. |

But I would perhaps cut it more seldom. What's sounds better to you - to let it grow to 4" before you cut it to 1", or cut it to 2" every time it reaches 3"?

Sounds rational to me, even without evidence. I think it's funny how certain people by default, will reject new ideas without even giving it a thought too.
Since I'm nearing the end of my education (finally!) and have my final project coming up this winter, I was thinking of topics I could do it on. This happens to be one of them.

Hence my previous reply. | You wouldn't have to cut your grass any more often than you already do, therefore gas consumption/CO2 production would remain the same. Or less if you choose to cut your grass less. Quote:

And as I originally stated (and ignored my own intentions ), I don't want to turn this into a big debate. Just a yes or no will suffice.

Hence my previous reply. | You can get electric mowers if that was a big concern. (a 3.5 HP Briggs and Stratton motor doesn't use that much fuel...)
