Perfect grilled cheese sandwhich:

1 Hot Woman

1 Hot Apron

1 Comfortable surface

Some nice music

On-topic: The article was hilarious. I might actually try one of those though

"A toothsome, country-style bread works best, and it can support a range of cheeses"

and...

Finish it off in the oven. "For me, the worst thing is not to have the cheese melted all the way through. If the bread is browning on the stovetop but the cheese isn't gooey yet, stick the sandwich in a 400-degree oven for a couple of minutes."

Come on already......anyone that needs to read up on how to make a grilled cheese has fundamental problems with being a human. Making grilled cheese is as no nonsense as making ice.

I think we should take a minute and honor the first coupling when humankind realized that grilled cheese was possible.

is Grilled Cheese a euphemism native to talkbass Off Topic, or is it ubiquitous across the net? I remember the first thread that introduced it, twas a glorious moment in OT history.

We certainly took it and ran with it.

This is the only forum I go to, though, so I have no idea.

I've seen it elsewhere but it doesn't seem to be quite as prevalent.

that is NOT a grilled cheese. You can't post pics of a grilled cheese on TB without some infraction points.

edit: Even still, in regards to the actual sandwich, once you add meat, or any other foodstuffs to your sandwich it is no longer a grilled cheese.
A real grilled cheese sandwich has only 3 ingredients: Bread, Cheese, & Butter.

Some flavored oils work well with a grilled cheese sandwich. IMO.

Agreed on all points.

I'm especially with you on the "real grilled cheese" deal. A grilled cheese with meat sounds pretty kinky. It's cool if you swing that way, but I'll stick to my plain ol' no meat, grilled cheese, thank you
