Ever had serious problems with your bank?

I've never really had much of an issue with my bank (name withheld) but for some reason right after this economic thing started happening the bank I currently use has gone off the deep end.

Starting from a few months ago they have started to withhold funds in my account whenever I make a deposit (or direct deposit) and they have never done this before, but now it has cause some serious issues with my account and there are now discrepancies from my checking account and what according to the bank says I have....I don't need to tell you what has happened because of this. They are withholding funds I deposited last week until the 9th of December!!! And when I try to rectify the situation, all I get are "We are verifying the deposit"

Now, I am a normal human being, I don't have a lot of money and everything I own I worked for thank you very much, and it really grinds my gears when I get the run around from a bank when crap like this happens. This is costing me money! Has anyone else ran into problems like this? Or am I alone?

The most trouble I have had from my bank is remembering the answers to the security questions they ask when I ring them up!

switch banks man. Tell them, if they want to jerk you around like this, you're just going to take your business elsewhere.

Yes. The only solution. Glad you remedied it. I wouldn't lie down about the check bouncing fees tho. Make a wicked stink. Get the BBB involved if you have to. Were you made aware of changes to their policy before these problems arose?
