Ever take it as a sign your getting old when....

Sign in to disble this ad
You find ONE show on TV worth staying up for (say 1:00AM, for Metalocalypse, of course lol) and you end up falling asleep in front of the tube and missing it WITHOUT FAIL!? I hate that ****!

How about you other TBers? What signs do you notice?

I now trim ear hair.
And I have this over riding urge to tell kids to get off my lawn.

Ok, how about if you haven't stayed awake until 1am for many years?

Actually, I was up until 12:30 last night, but I'm usually never awake at such an hour.

I don't understand how people can live without at least 7 hours of sleep a night.

4 AM used to be my me-time. Now I feel physically ill in the morning if I'm not in bed by 1 AM.

it's called "college", which is coincidentally why I'm still awake right now (1:52 AM) when I have to be awake by 5:00 AM in order to get to class on time.

Well, let's see.

I can finally afford the sports car I always wanted, but i don't want it any more because it's noisy and uncomfortable.

I'd rather read The Economist than Maxim.

Back: hairy. Head: not so much.

OK here are some that I have actually experienced (says the guy named "Relic"):

-when a song(s) that you still consider somewhat "new" start showing up on oldies compilations..
-when you actually have to start trimming nose and ear hair.
-you remember some funny event that happened "a couple of years ago" then realize it actually happened 20 years ago
-it takes you a week to recover from one weekend of light partying
-you're in bed by 11 and wake up by 7 as opposed to in bed by 4 am and waking up by 4 pm
-you actually start reading the labels on food
-you actually do start getting mad when someone walks on your lawn
-your kids, the same ones whose butts you wiped and diapers you've changed, the ones who you held when they were sick and blowing chunks down your back are now old enough to reproduce and have a band of their own...

I have plenty more but alas, it's morning and my regularity is kicking in. Time for a trip to the erm... "library"

When I realized the majority of women in my classes were 15 years younger then me. Then I thought "Jackpot!"
