"Everybody Grab WHAT!?!?!?"

Sign in to disble this ad
The corruption of our nation's youth continues.

My grandson just finished singing me a song they're teaching him in his first grade music class:

"Everybody grab a ho'; out to the garden row-by-row..."

It continues talking about the "ho'-down" that's goin' down out in the garden.

We're going to begin homeschooling after this year.

Good idea.

This is just another example of public schools corrupting our youth.

I chalked the first post up to some mildly funny sarcasm until the posts about homeschooling.

If you actually found that song offensive then you're the one that's become corrupted by society.

Yup. Are you also the "mad as hell" parent at the PTA meetings?

Y'know, now that you mention it...

I suppose I might have overreacted. It WOULD make sense with the "out in the garden" bit, wouldn't it?

Never mind.

I'm the parent that skips PTA altogether, unless there's donuts.

Ok, so how exactly is that helping the situation? I sure hope as a parent you are not that hands-off to your child's education, regardless of your Wife being a teacher.

Not being judgemental, but is incredibly irresponsible if you are as you speak.

Unfortunately, in this day and age, being "hands on" in the public school invariably leads to a lawsuit.
