Evil Dead The Musical

Sign in to disble this ad
Went and saw Evil Dead the Musical last night. It was freaking epic. Blood was spurted into the crowd. Deadites were chainsawed to their end. There was even singing and dancing. If you get a chance to see it, I wouldn't pass it up, if you're into that sort of thing. The story is basically Evil Dead 2, with some various lines and themes from the other two movies.

P.S. the fake blood that got on me smelled like laundry detergent. weird.

It's not a traveling show, as far as I know. It was put on by a local theater company. The guy who played Ash was pretty beefy, with a strong chin.

That sounds brilliant! I remember taking Evil Dead 2 round to a friends, having had a few drinks the whole house laughing part just cracked us up, and I think it's the main reason my friend went and bought the film afterwards.

I'm asuming those are dates where the show is playing. Same script / songs, different actors / production. The actors last night were all from KC theatre companies.

A local company here in DC did the production at Halloween. I went with my wife and some friends and it was fantastic! I (of course) was the only one who had seen all the movies (several times) and was howling with laughter at the lines but everyone really enjoyed the show even if they weren't in on all the "subtleties" of the Evil Dead saga.

Highly recommended if you can find a production!
