How do you firm up that region on the inside of your biceps between your armpit and elbow? Mine's flabby. |

It's actually on the opposite side of the triceps. I don't know what it's called. |

Seriously, though, what about chin-ups? |

Bob and Vorage: That's what I figured (also lat pull downs) but I'm thinking of something I can do in my home without having to get infrastructure like pull up/chin up bars or machines. |

Palms facing out will be much harder... I'm pretty sure it works a different part of your bicep... and it gets your lats more too.

Usually, new fat makes your skin tight for a moment (and might cause stretch marks), so I'd suppose it's a combination of both existing and lost fat.
So, you need to either exercise to lose some fat, or you need to exercise to build some muscle beneath the skin to make the skin tighter. I don't think it's very easy to exercise the "flab muscle" you are talking about, so I'd recommend exercising the large muscles (biceps, triceps) around it instead. Triceps are actually a larger muscle than biceps, so don't rely just on curls and pull-ups.

I'm used to the palms out pull up. It's what the Marines do. I'm gunna hafta find a way to build a pull up bar in my house. Grrr..
At the gym yesterday I noticed that the negative portion of lateral dumbbell flies seem to address that particular muscle. I need to use lighter weights though so I can really milk the negative downswing and get more reps as well. |

| | That's the way uh huh uh huh I like it.. | | Join Date: Sep 2006 Location: Robbinsville, NJ | | | Is there a good exercise to use in regards to building up the chest muscles (pectoralis major)? I've been working out lately but really have no fancy equipment, just barbells. I was wondering if there was a particularly good lift etc, that can be done that would concentrate on that area.
Sorry to hijack the thread, just a skinny guy taking notes here!
