Well, if we got a thread about cheap alcohol, we have to have one about top-of-the-line stuff. Here are my favorites:

For about $30:
At a higher price point ($70-80):
Right now I have a bottle of Woodford Reserve, based on recommendations here. I enjoy it, but I'll probably go back to good old JW black for my regular whiskey.

The best I've ever sampled is this stuff, which goes for about 545$ a bottle in MI:
Here's some excerpts from a review: Quote:
I was amazed at this scotch. At over $400 US per bottle, the bar sold this scotch for $50 for a 2 oz serving. That meant I was sipping over $100 of the best scotch I'd ever tasted.
The Macallan 25 is an incredibly refined dram, with intense aromas of orange zest, spice, smoke, and of course, Macallan's signature Oloroso sherry. Its flavors are among the most integrated of any scotch I've had, perfectly blended but still identifiable. Raisins, toasted oak and smoke interplay with hints of nutmeg, toffee, and caramelized sugar. Huge body, moderate heat, and the amazing aromas blend into one long wet-kiss of a finish.
If you ever have a spare $50 floating around, treat yourself to this scotch. It's expensive, but you would expect that from such liquid gold.

no, not mixed together. But any of those "neat" or on the rocks is unreal.
And I have to say SKYY vodka is garbage. Solely my opinion, but there are so many other much more wonderful Vodkas out there. For high profile types try Grey Goose, Ketel One, Ciroc or VOX. All have their own character. All are smoother and more delish than SKYY. Or Smirnoff for that matter.
I guess I just don't dig on the flavored vodkas. Oh, but I loves me some vodka.

Their still there makes the best schnapps you've never had. When we were kids (4-6) me and my brother could tell you exactly what kind of fruit was in the schnapps, while it was being made. We came home black many times from the wood fire to keep the still running. |

One of my favourite beers. Sold for like $3.50 a bottle, and its only sold by the bottle (at least here).

That's about as ritzy as I think I'll ever get on booze unless I end up super super rich at some point. I'm not huge enough on alkeehol to spend top dollar. But this stuff tastes pretty amazing.
