Are there any free programs for extracting zipped files other than WinZip (which is shareware)?

winrar, technically it's not free but you can just close to window asking you to register it/pay and it still works perfectly.

Winrar is shareware just like Winzip. So if you don't want to use Winzip, then you may also not want to use Winrar (not that I personally have anything against either Winzip or Winrar).

In which case, 7-zip is the way to go. Open source, free, and pretty powerful.

Cool, thanks for the response guys. I ended up using Windows Extractor Wizard which worked fine.
