Eye tattoos

Sign in to disble this ad
"Although we don't know much about style-behind-bars, we were aware of the body piercing and the tattooing that goes on in the cells...but two prisoners have opened our eyes to the newest self-mutilating trend: eye tattoos that change the sclera to be blue or even red.

When asked why he would do this to himself, David Boltjes (whose eyes are red) poetically remarked, "You can't ask why...the real question is why not," and his fellow inmate, blue-eyed Paul Inman explained that now, no one in the world would have the same color peepers as he has. Neither man would say how they managed to color their eyeballs, but both concurred it was extremely painful."

Emphasis mine. ****ing insane. Period.

The one guy basically said they injected dye between 2 layers of the eye with a hypodermic needle. How stupid do you have to be to answer "Yes" when your prison cellmate asks if he can stick a needle into your eyeball?

This has been around for a while. I remember reading about it on BMEzine a few years back.

So it's only a matter of time before we start seeing little wanna be thugs and felons in the making walking around blind with blue, green, gold, black, and red eyeballs.

How are parents gonna know if their kids are high if they're all walking around with red eyeballs?

I don't care how long it's been around, the implications of having a fellow inmate, or for that matter a "trained" professional, stabbing me in the eye with a hypodermic needle is not appealing.

i want to know who initially said "hey, what if i stabbed myself in the eye with a needle and ink? Maybe it would look cool."
