They don't.
My belt buckle does though. I should throw it out since it makes me a terrorist threat at airports and thus lowering my sense of well-being.

I had my lip pierced about 5 years ago, but had to take it out every day for work and lost part of it one day and never bothered to replace it.
at some point between those I had my tongue pierced and stretched to a 0 gauge bar. I had an acrylic piece because I didn't want to chip my teeth and one night I bit the thing in half and swallowed part of it and found the other on my pillow the next morning. I never replaced it.
I also had my ears gauged up to 1" but again, had to take them out for work and got sick of bothering with it... They've now shrunk down to about a 00 five years later.
I always thought it was funny when people with pierced ears would ask "why would you purposely poke holes in your body?"

-My septum, which i got 12 years ago.
-Ears, 9 years, gagued to an 8 and stopped because i can't deal with ear pain. 
But i've HAD:
-snakebites
-tongue (did myself in 8th grade honors english class)
-nipples
-bellybutton (i worked at a tattoo shop... it was a dare)
-2 PA's
